This cartoon is drawn by John Branch. In this cartoon, Branch is using ridicule to make fun of Rick Perry and his new "Strong" commercial. With this picture of Perry and the word bubbles coming from him and God, Branch criticizes Perry for the ridiculous commercial that came out in which he said things such as, "There's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military, but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school." Clearly, Branch, along with many other Americans, disagrees with Perry's decision to run this ad and is against Perry and his campaign. Like many others who have been writing about Perry and his ad, Branch is using hummer and drawings to push across his view that Perry is a bigot who might have just put the last nail into the hypothetical coffin of his campaign.
